Due to a revised insurance policy commencing the 14th June 2024, the Balavil Hotel swimming pool will only be able to accommodate those who have valid paid memberships or are residents within the hotel.
For those who have not yet applied for a membership, these are still available for permanent residents of Newtonmore, Kingussie, Kincraig, Laggan & Insh via our website or hotel reception.
For those not with a permanent residence within Newtonmore but frequent the area, an annual membership will have to be purchased in advanced at full annual cost to use the swimming pool.

“We stayed here for a couple of nights in a family room. It was clean and comfortable. We ate in the hotel both nights and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good too, with plenty choice of continental and cooked. As we were there during ‘COVID Circuit breaker’ not everything was available but what we were able to do was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Felt safe with the precautions they had in place. Would be happy to stay there again.”
